You’re buying a machine to fix a problem. Usually that means:
Reduce product damage
Reduce operating costs
If you’ve got a different goal, call us at 502-815-9108. We’ve seen what seems like everything and probably have helped someone solve a problem similar to yours.
Keep in mind that when your company bought the last machine, it may have been to solve a different problem, and probably considered different factors. Take the insight from that experience, but also take a fresh look at your requirements today.
Stop the Damage and Waste
Containment force is the key to effective stretch wrapping. It’s the total squeezing pressure the film puts on the load. The amount of containment force you need depends on your unique load, and it’s really what determines if your load arrives nicely stacked, secure and undamaged…or a mess. (That’s a pallet wrapping technical term!)
The thing to keep in mind if you’re buying a wrapper is that there’s a big difference between a machine that can put film around your load and a machine that will wraps your products effectively 24/7, 365.
Wrap More Pallets
That’s the best problem to have! You’re sending more stuff out the door and need more capacity. And you’ve got options. One solution is to replace older equipment with a new machine with labor saving/output increasing options like automatic film cut & clamp and remote start. Another option is to add another machine on the dock, or perhaps position machines throughout the plant (e.g. in work cells). Or, maybe it’s time to look at some of our very affordable automatic machines – even simply adding a discharge conveyor can substantially increase the number of loads that are wrapped in a single location by a single machine.
Since you’re already running wrappers you know you’re spending less on film when you pre-stretch it, and maybe you’ve seen the labor and injury reducing benefits of these machines.
