Tomorrow, most of us will sit down with our family and friends to eat turkey and give thanks for the blessings in our lives. Today, we’re thankful for our business partners, customers, employees and anyone who has helped us be successful.

Here are three ways to thank your customers, employees and vendors this holiday season and throughout the year.

1. Write a letter

Take the time to pen a handwritten letter. In the day and age of instant communication, a hand written lettter stands out as a genuine appreciation. Don’t forget to be specific. Say what you are thankful for and point out what the person or group actually has done.

2. Say it on social media

Most of us have heard the phrase, “praise in public.” Social media outlets give you the opportunity to publicly thank a loyal customer, refer business to your vendors and spotlight a superstar employee. One of our favorite ideas comes from entreprenuer.com – profile one of your best clients on your company blog, and explain why you appreciate him or her so much.

3. Give value

Sometimes words aren’t enough. Think outside of the box on ways to show appreciation. Give your employees small incentives or have customer or vendor appreciation days with special discounts or giveaways. You don’t have to give over-the-top, expensive gifts. It’s the thought that counts.

Whatever method you choose, let others know you appreciate them. I’d love to hear how you show gratitude for the people in your business life. Please post your ideas in the comment section below.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and commenting on our blog this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!
