Square cases pack, stack and protect products better. If cases are not square, they can become unstable when stacked and are more prone to being crushed, potentially causing damage to the product during shipment. Just as Lantech case erectors use our unique Total Control System to compensate for blank construction variations and form a perfectly square case, so do our case sealers. Locking in the shape to preserve the effort and investment you have made in erecting a square case and packing it properly.
The Total Control System starts with adjustable infeed guides that establish control of the case immediately upon entering the sealer. Rollers move the case through to the spring-loaded side belts that adjust to accommodate even the slightest variation in case width. The belts hold the case as the precisely timed 2-stage folding process folds the flaps at the score lines and seals the case, locking in the shape. It’s through this thoughtful and refined machine design that our case sealers keep your cases perfectly square and do not jam.
Every day, companies are under increasing pressure to achieve sustainability goals and produce greater profit margins. Reducing materials at the packaging level can make a significant impact, especially if someone ships in high volumes. Many companies are also looking to their equipment to offer help in achieving their sustainability goals, and need equipment to be efficient, reliable and flexible.
On the materials side, cases with high recycled content tend to be thinner than regular cases, and can be challenging for packaging equipment to manage. But what if your case erector and sealer could overcome those challenges? What if you could form and seal every box in a bundle? You can with Lantech case equipment! With the Total Control System, Lantech case equipment can overcome flimsy corrugate and case manufacturing variations to deliver perfectly squared and sealed cases.
Furthermore, efficiency and flexibility require machine adjustments to be made quickly and easily – especially in environments that operate at fast speeds, have high production capacity, and that ship multiple products in a wide range of blank sizes. Lantech’s case sealers can accommodate a wide range of case sizes and styles and are easily adjusted. And equipment like the Random Case Sealer can accommodate multiple box sizes without having to changeover.

In today’s fast paced environment, packaging facilities are driven by tight production deadlines and shipping timetables. To keep pace, manufacturers and distribution centers need 1.) case erectors that don’t jam and cause downtime, and; 2.) machines that produce uniformly square cases with perfect 90-degree-angles, which means cases pack, stack and palletize better. Lantech’s unique Total Control System makes this possible with 100% precise control of the case through the entire forming process.
